What do your payments really cost?
Enter a month of UPI, card, wallet and netbanking volume and the rates your gateway charges. You get the MDR, the 18% GST on it, your effective rate, and what the same month costs on other plans. Or load a settlement file and see where a gateway billed above its rate card.
YOUR MONTH
| Method | Volume / month (₹) | Your rate |
|---|
Defaults: a ₹22 lakh/month store on a standard 2% plan. RuPay debit is zero-MDR by rule, and UPI is free up to ₹2,000 a payment; from 15 Oct 2026 UPI payments to a merchant above ₹2,000 carry 0.4% (at most ₹300 a payment; small merchants exempt). Many aggregator plans still charge a flat rate on all of it. You can type 12 lakh or 1.5 cr.
WHAT IT COSTS
Plan rates are typical published or negotiated rates, for comparison only. "Regulated rate" means UPI free up to ₹2,000 a payment and 0.4% on the share above (the ₹300 cap is not applied to a monthly total). Debit-card MDR is capped by RBI at 0.4% (turnover up to ₹20 lakh) or 0.9%. Confirm your gateway's current rate card before switching.

BILLED ABOVE THE RATE CARD
A fee more than 5% above the expected fee (and over 50 paise) is flagged. UPI up to ₹2,000 and RuPay debit should be zero; UPI above ₹2,000 is checked at the rate card above (set it to 0 for payments before 15 Oct 2026). Methods the file does not name are listed as Other and never flagged. Use this list when you raise it with the gateway.
